Seller Consent & Listing Agreement

The terms on which you list your vehicle on Cars Mantra.

This Seller Consent & Listing Agreement ("Agreement") is between you ("Seller") and Cars Mantra, an online automotive marketplace based in Gurugram, Haryana. It applies whenever you submit a vehicle for listing through our website, WhatsApp number, Telegram channel, or any other channel we operate. It is supplementary to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

1. Seller representations

By submitting a vehicle you confirm and warrant that:

  • you are the registered owner of the vehicle, or are duly authorised in writing by the registered owner to sell it;
  • the vehicle is free from any undisclosed lien, hypothecation, court attachment, or finance charge — or any such charge has been clearly disclosed to Cars Mantra;
  • all information you provide (registration number, kilometres, owner serial, accident and service history, photos, documents) is true, accurate and not misleading;
  • the vehicle has a valid registration, insurance (where required), and PUC certificate, or you will disclose otherwise;
  • the vehicle is not stolen, not subject to any criminal investigation, and is not the subject of any insurance write-off that has not been disclosed.

2. Consent to use of your submission

You grant Cars Mantra a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce, watermark, crop, re-photograph, edit, translate, adapt and publicly display the photos, videos, text and documents you submit, for the purpose of:

  • moderating, formatting and publishing your listing on the Platform;
  • marketing your vehicle on Cars Mantra-controlled channels (website, WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, email);
  • operating, securing and improving the Platform.

This licence runs while the listing is active and for a reasonable archival period afterwards. You retain ownership of your original media.

3. WhatsApp & Telegram submissions

If you submit your vehicle by sending photos and details to our WhatsApp number or Telegram handle, you:

  • consent to Cars Mantra collecting and processing those messages, photos and your contact identifier (phone / username) for listing and follow-up;
  • authorise Cars Mantra to reply to you and to send transactional updates on the same channel;
  • agree that your submission is treated as a draft listing governed by this Agreement, and goes live only after our moderation team contacts you and confirms publication.

4. Moderation rights

Cars Mantra may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • edit copy, re-order or re-shoot photos, and adjust descriptions for clarity and consistency;
  • request additional proof (RC, insurance, identity, address) before approving;
  • reject the listing if quality, ownership or documents are unsatisfactory;
  • delay publication during peak load or fraud investigations.

5. Content removal & takedown

Cars Mantra may at any time, with or without notice, unpublish or permanently delete a listing if:

  • we have reason to believe the listing is fraudulent, duplicate, plagiarised, or non-compliant;
  • the vehicle is sold, deregistered, or the Seller asks us to remove it;
  • we receive a credible third-party complaint, court order, or regulatory direction;
  • the Seller breaches this Agreement or our Terms of Service.

You may at any time ask us to remove your listing by emailing carzmantra@gmail.com from the contact used at submission, or by replying to our WhatsApp / Telegram thread.

6. Fees and commercials

Basic listing on the Platform is free unless we explicitly tell you otherwise before publication. Optional value-added services (premium placement, paid inspection, doorstep paperwork) are priced separately and are agreed in writing (including over WhatsApp / Telegram).

7. Buyer interactions and the actual sale

The eventual sale, exchange or transfer of the vehicle is a direct transaction between Seller and Buyer. Cars Mantra is not a party to it, does not hold the vehicle in trust, and does not guarantee any payment or RC transfer. You agree to deal with Buyers in good faith, to make the vehicle available for inspection at a mutually convenient time, and to complete RC transfer paperwork promptly after receiving the agreed consideration.

8. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Cars Mantra against any claim, loss, fine or expense (including legal fees) caused by any misrepresentation in your listing, dispute with a Buyer, or breach of this Agreement.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

This Agreement is governed by the laws of India. Courts at Gurugram, Haryana shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to our grievance procedure.
